ਰਸੂਲ ਹਮਜ਼ਾਤੋਵ (8 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1923–3 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2003) ਅਵਾਰ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਰਕੱਢ ਗਿਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ 'ਜ਼ੁਰਾਵਲੀ' ਸਾਰੇ ਰੂਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ [‘ਮੇਰਾ ਦਾਗਿਸਤਾਨ’] ਰੂਸੀ ਦੀ ਉਪਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਫਰੈਂਕ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਸ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਨੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਰਸੂਲ ਹਮਜ਼ਾਤੋਵ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਨ ਲੇਖਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
